TWC Conservation Archive image additions September 2018
The “conservation archive” has image updates for the month of September 2018
The updates for September 2018 consist of new images taken by the Thailand Wildlife Collective‘s photographers. The new images are taken in the height of the current rainy season, one Thailand’s most severe in many years. The new additions for the month of September include:
- Sept 1 - Addition of a host of new reptile, amphibian and mammal images from Ton Smits, including images of Jack’s Water Snake, Large-eyed Pit Viper, Yellow-barred Wolf Snake, Collared Blackhead, Khasi Hills Keelback, Hampton’s Slug-eating Snake, Barron’s Kukri Snake (Oligodon barroni), Reticulated Python, a colorful juvenile Dumeril’s monitor lizard as well as various Asian Elephant images taken at various locations in Thailand.
- Sept 12 - New reptile and amphibian images from Ton Smits, including photographs of Cave Racer Snake, Kanburi Pit Viper , Norhayati’s Tree Frog, Dog-toothed Cat Snake (Boiga cynodon) and Juvenile Monocled Cobra (Naja kaouthia)
- Sept 15 - Addition of Asian Short Clawed Otters, Indochinese leopard, Sunda pangolin (Manis javanica), Gaur (Bos gaurus), and Leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis) images from Kaeng Krachan National Park by Paul Thompson and Ian Edwardes.
- Sept 30 - Addition of various arthropod images including the rarely seen Pyrops astarte lantern bug by Paul Thompson.
